Orting Performing Arts Booster Club

Meeting Minutes for May 5, 2012.
Meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm.
Roll call: Sign in sheet passed.
Minutes for the meeting on April 2, 2012 were approved. .

Officer’s Report:
Treasurer: $202.50 tips from VanHalen. Paid $125 for MS entrance fee/paid $130 for HS entrance fee for Large Group Festival. Jazz Fiasco shirts paid for. Sweatshirts not yet paid off.


Committee Report: No Committees.

Old Business:
* Jazz Band t-shirts have arrived. $20 per shirt.
* Sweatshirt confusion. Received wrong sweatshirts. Board made decision agreed to pay ½ price for them. Correct sweatshirts being made.

Upcoming Fund raisers:
* Car Wash May 19. Reserved. Kit secured. 10am – 2pm. Arrive at 9:30. West HS parking lot. Todd will purchase supplies at Costco. Brenda will make new signs.
* Rammstein Concert. Confirmed attendance. Reminder email will be sent.


New Business:
* Nominations. Sign-up sheet was passed again. Election at next meeting.

Other discussions:
*Aaron time.
  • May 24th. Old Soldiers Home. Therese will distribute fliers. 10 - 11
  • May 27th. Fox Hollow. 3:30-5:30pm. BBQ at Lunden's prior for band.
  • Motion/2nd/Passed: To set aside $600 for repairs on instruments (Tuba/barisax..per Mr. Ruff).
  • Chaperon's for MS/HS reminded. Beckie/Brenda.
  • Money Tree discussed. Brenda wants to figure out.
  • Jazz Festival went well. ASB covered cost of bus. We paid registration fee.
  • Aaron will make new “wish list”.
Announcements:
* June 2. Musical Petting Zoo. Need OPABC presence. 11-3. $15
* June 5. 6th grade orientation.
* June 6. Final Band Concert. OHS Pac @ 7pm. (not 6th grade).
* June 11. Graduation.
* June 13. Beginning Band Concert. OMS 7pm
