Meeting Minutes for May 2, 2011
Meeting was called to order at 6:10 pm.
Roll call: Sign in sheet not passed.
Minutes for the meeting in March and April were not passed. . .
New Business:
* Alcohol class being held. 11 individuals attended. All passed test. :)
*Attending: Kevin Senf, Tudie Senf, Michael Melot, Andrea Melot, Leanne Cook, Melanie Erickson, Beckie Meek, Andrew Lunden, Brenda Lunden, Deb Taylor, Suzanne Morchin.
Other discussions:
*Need commitment from Individuals about attending concert on May 15th by Sunday, May 8th. Two committed tonight.

Next meeting: June 6th, 2011.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.

Meeting was called to order at 7:04 pm.
Roll call: Sign in sheet passed.
Minutes for the meeting in March were not passed. Next Meeting.
Officer’s Report:
Treasurer: Approximately $2200.00 in OPABC account at this time. $605 raised at Parade.
Committee Report: No Committees.
Old Business:
* Parade has passed and there was no further old business. Nothing discussed.Upcoming Fund-raisers:
* Car wash scheduled for April 30, 2011. 10am - 2pm. Kids need to attend. Scott will obtain
the drain thing from the City.
* Pasta Feed. Date set for Sept. 24th. Michael took care of it.
* 4th of July fund-raiser is Not happening. Lyons covering it.
New Business:
*Tacoma Dome fund-raiser. Date change to May 15th (Sunday)
*Alcohol licenses needed. Food Handlers also.
come to us if we have enough people. PTTE will help arrange.
Other discussions:
*Graham Hunt, insurance agent, discussed with us our insurance options. We will need to provide insurance coverage when our 501(c)3 is completed. Currently covered under the PTA’s umbrella. Further discussion will be required.* Band Retreat report: "Great!" Letters to District encouraged.
*Needs: Looking for Covered Trailer. 7x12. Also: bass drum repair (fall), chimes ($3500), ink cartridge replacement for copier ($75.00).
*Mascot wear. Motion, Seconded and Passed for Long sleeved t-shirts. Blacc/Gray with CARD and Head on left upper chest. Contact Valley Trophy.

* June 2nd, HS Concert. 7pm.
* June 7th. MS Concert. 7pm.
* May 24th/26th Old Soldiers Home. 7pm (More info. coming)
* May 17th, 10am. 5th grade recruitment concert.
* June 8th, 6th Grade Concert, 7pm.
* Fox Hollow Community Day. May/June. (More info to come.)

 Meeting Minutes for March 28, 2011.
Meeting was called to order at 7:07 pm.
Roll call: Sign in sheet passed.
Minutes for the meeting on March 7, 2011 were approved.
Officer’s Report:
Treasurer: $515.00 (18 kids and some Parents.)
Committee Report: No Committees.
Old Business:
                    * Volunteers for Table at Daffodil Parade. Sign-up sheet passed again.
* Chaperones for MS band...covered.Upcoming Fund-raisers:
*Pasta Feed. April 30th will NOT work. September 10th or 24th suggested. Motion for 24th made, Seconded and passed by majority. Kim Fielding will coordinate with Eagles.                   * Possibility of looking in a Bazaar during the Holidays. (Brenda Lunden)
New Business:
                    *Schedule another car wash? Motion for 4/30 and 7/9. Seconded and passed.
* PTTE is offering us the opportunity to join with them at the Tacoma Dome. Approximately once per month, and we would need 6 - 8 OPABC members to attend. Alcohol license needed by most. Profits based on sales per event. 10% of food sales and 8% of alcohol sales and tips. No motion made at this time. More information wanted. First event offered May 28th.Other discussions:
                 * Scholarship for Band Retreat. Motion, Seconded and Passed for $500. Those who receive
                   Support need to help at car wash.
                  *Aaron unable to attend due to illness.
                  * 4th of July fund-raiser. Brenda Lunden will look into options and report back.

Not your typical Booster Meeting.

Tonight's OPABC Booster Meeting is not going to be like our "usual" meetings.   We are holding a class for anyone interested in obtaining their alcohol serving license to help us with the fund-raiser at the Tacoma Dome.  Class starts at 6pm and costs $30.  Please bring your photo ID and you need to know your Social Security number.  We are meeting in the Band room at OMS.  Hope to see you there.
