                A.            Director’s Report
                               
                                1.  Band,  Aaron Ruff
                                Per request, Aaron emailed appeals list to Tanya. 
Tanya to email Brenda and Beckie appeals list to help prepare for a budget.
Appeal for two Tubas.  The average Yamaha type brand of mid-grade quality runs about $5,000 each.
Shopping around for better bid, found mackbrass.com out of Virginia. Small operation, personal service.
Instruments made in America, high quality, no negative views.
Quote $1,578 each, shipping via greyhound $120.

Discussion:          We need to raise more money for this item.  Designated fundraiser?
                                Treasury concerns with available balance and new tax exempt status revocation. 
Must safeguard to prepare for taxable income, insurance that is due in January,                                                               certification renewals for the club…
Operating budget not established.
Fi-Audit report, now due, should show that our expenses have exceeded our income.
Priority to get together and establish an operating budget before Aug 1st.
Tuba appeal tabled.

               
                                Jazz Band interviewed by CBS/News Tribune for an article of the band and our program. 
                                Needs approval of OSD Superintendant before publication.
                                Digital Pep Packets being prepared, working with Suzanne M.
                               
                                2.            Choir, Jackie Backus (absent)
                                                Jackie in contact with Brenda about Choir’s involvement. 
                                                Choir will step back from involvement with OPABC as the 501c3 is processing. 
               
                B.            Craft Fair (Trina, absent)
                                Saturday, Dec 7th at PTR




                C.            Spirit-Wear
                                Hold off on order approved in the June 17th meeting until we see samples as vectored.
                                Stadium blankets (Brenda), Rain Ponchos, other items…
                                New purchases pending operating budget approval.

                                Providing an informational table, membership drive.  Dates?

                Discussion:          How do we share information as a group? (Bret)
                                                We communicate club activities and announcements through our email, Face Book, and blog.
                                                Bret may be able to help with FB administrative settings…
