Important Meeting Change

The Executive Board of the Orting Performing Arts Booster Club met together September 14, 2015, to discuss the upcoming OPABC year. With great sadness, we have realized OPABC can no longer function at previous levels because we are missing a vital resource -- YOU.

Due to dwindling parental participation, not only at meetings bu also at fundraising events, we have decided all OPABC meetings and business will take place via email until further notice.

The Executive Board will continue to meet quarterly to discuss any issues, budget items, or other needs that may develop.  Details of these minutes will be posted on the OPABC blog.

With deepest regret,
Michael Melot, President
Melanie Erickson, Vice President
Andrea Melot, Secretary
Bret Lathrop, Treasurer

Housekeeping Update

There were supposed to be nominations at the June meeting for the positions of Vice President and Secretary.  According to the official by-laws of the OPABC there were only 2 individuals who were actually eligible for the positions.  Neither of the individuals attended the meeting.

Therefor as of June 1st, the OPABC is short staffed with only a President (Michael Melot) and a Treasurer (Bret Lathrop).  For the sake of convenience, Andrea Melot is still acting as the Secretary.

It was decided that there would NOT be a booster meeting in the month of July.  The next meeting was scheduled for August, originally the 7th but the meeting was changed to August 3rd and held at the Melot house.
